Lora Jones is a writer based in North Wales, UK.
Lora began her career working in the television industry in London after reading for a BA in English Literature and an MA in Early Modern History, both at Durham University. She read scripts for Andy Harries (The Royle Family, The Crown) at ITV and wrote programme content for C4 and the BBC, amongst others.
A keen historian, collector of First World War ephemera and member of the Western Front Association, Lora is currently writing her first novel for young adults, based on the aftermath of WW1 and the inter-war period. She is founder of the blog And We Were Young, exploring the emotional history of the Great War, and is particularly passionate about bringing this topic to a younger audience. Her other areas of interest include the social and cultural history of ghosts.
Lora lives at Llanerch Farm, an 18th century farmhouse, holiday apartment and 16 acre wildlife haven set high above the beautiful Dee Valley.
In her spare time, Lora is an enthusiastic supporter of animal welfare and wildlife conservation charities.
